Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is the backbone of the Huntington Park Police Department. The uniformed patrol officer today is a high energy, multi-task, high-tech problem solver. The patrol officer is a professional who is trained to handle dangerous situations he/she may encounter on the streets.

Community Policing
The Huntington Park Police Department is dedicated to forming partnerships with the community to solve problems. Community policing is the guiding philosophy of the Huntington Park Police Department. Working together with the community to solve problems is what community policing is all about.

Crime Trends
Patrol personnel evaluate crime trends and formulate efforts to address and eliminate these crimes. Assertive patrolling is another way that patrol personnel address crime to keep the community safe.

Ride Alongs
The Huntington Park Police Department allows citizens to ride-along with a police officer during his or her regular duty shift. This program is a great way for Huntington Park citizens to witness first hand how their law enforcement officials help to keep the community safe. A routine background check will be conducted on all applications. For more information, or to receive an application, visit the Police Department at 6542 Miles Ave., Huntington Park, CA between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday or call (323)826-6614.
